Great Visual Reference

I recently purchased this book in a search for clear beginners instructions on crochet stitches. Once I reviewed the book, I was able to work few swatches with ease. As a visual learner, the symbol graphs together with the writen instructions helped me to work the few stiches I wanted to create using the yarn of my choice.

It is a great book to keep as reference. The stitches have no titles, but instead it is categorized by the stitches used on the designs. Also the example images on the book are created in white thread, which can be a little tiring if you look at them for a long period of time, but you can see the stitches clearly and copy them exactly the same.

The book met my needs and expectations to find a reference that I can go back and find the stitches to use quickly.

Great Reference Book

This book has more crochet patterns in it than I ever knew existed. The instructions are easy to follow. I love learning new patterns.

Need patterns?

The photos in this book are gorgeous; the instructions are concise and easy to follow. There is a section in the front of the book that shows a thumbnail of all 500 patterns. This is a wonderful tool for quick reference.
I have used two patterns to crochet two sweaters from this book.

A must have for any one who crochets...

This is an amazing book! It gives you both written and graphic directions so you can understand more clearly what you are doing. There are many designs to choose from, and all of them are done in one color so you are not distracted by colors when selecting a pattern for your project. Excellent photography and I really love the table of contents pictorial format... makes it easy to find what you want. The organization of the book is very well thought out, and seems to go from easy to more complicated.
